Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Teacher is responsible for providing quality learning experiences for students through the best deliverance of the curriculum. 

To this end, the postholder guides the teaching team, partners with family members, allied professionals, community and other relevant stakeholders, engages in reflective practice and continuously seeks to innovate and enhance teaching and learning practices.

 

Provide Curriculum & Instructional Excellence

  1. Plan engaging and well-paced lessons taking account of the diverse learner profiles of students 

  2. Deliver lessons using evidence-based pedagogy and meaningful activities, to meet the educational needs of individual students 

  3. Pro-actively facilitate and manage the students and learning environment to enhance motivation and behaviour, and opportunities for learning

 

Facilitate Holistic Student Development

  1. Build a strong relationship with students, providing physically, emotionally and socially-safe relationships and environments for enhancing care and facilitating of learning for the students

  2. Formulate data-based, student-centered IEP/ITP process for all students, and support their attainment of IEP/ITP goals through appropriate strategies implemented in partnership with families/caregivers, allied professionals and other relevant stakeholders 

  3. Design and implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices to create and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment as well as foster student development and well-being

 

Collaborate for Optimal Student Learning & Development

  1. Work in partnership with allied professionals and appropriate other internal stakeholders for effective planning and execution of development strategies for the student

  2. Work in partnership with family members to support student learning across school, home and community

  3. Manage communications with families to support students and/or school initiatives

 

Contribute to Programme Development and Quality

  1. Maintain and monitor client records related to programme utilization in accordance to organisational and professional requirements.

  2. Ensure that the health and safety policy is adhered to and all equipment are properly and safely stored and maintained for safe use.

  3. Assist in a CCA to enhance students’ learning experiences

 

Job Holder Requirements

  • Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents
  • Diploma in Special Education (DISE) is required

  • Registered teacher with Ministry of Education

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a special education setting

Assistant Life Coach [Day Activity Centre]

The Adult Empowerment Services are committed to improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities through person-centred services that empower individuals, support their families, and foster inclusive communities. Comprising the Day Activity Centre, Disability Case Management Programme (DCMP), and Young Adults Activities!, these programmes aim to help individuals reach their fullest potential, achieve greater independence, and lead meaningful, fulfilling lives. The Disability Case Management Programme (DCMP) provides holistic and timely case management and interventions to address the complex needs of persons with disabilities, ensuring comprehensive care and support. DCMP clients often have multifaceted support needs that require collaboration across multiple agencies and professionals. As part of the Interdisciplinary Care Planning (ICP) team in DCMP, the Life Coach will work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other professionals to implement care plans, coordinate care arrangements, and report progress to the ICP team. The goal of the role is to empower clients, enhance their independence, and support their integration into inclusive communities.

Deliver and maintain the information technology initiatives of Rainbow Centre with direction from the IT Manager to attain the operational objectives of Rainbow Centre. Manage the campus technology infrastructure, inventory and the provisioning of effective and efficient IT services throughout the school which includes troubleshooting, project management, undertaking specific maintenance and upgrading tasks of IT and AV services.
