Job Opportunities Login for Existing Applicant Job search Work type Fixed Term Full-time 1 Locations All locations 1 Categories Corporate Services 1 Specialist, Community Activation Apply now Job no: 492544 Work type: Fixed Term Full-time Location: All locations Categories: Corporate Services Critical Work Function Job Tasks & Responsibilities User Design and Data Analytics Conduct research and analyse data to design inclusive spaces, evaluate placemaking impact, and develop tools, frameworks, and reports for sustainable practices Conduct social research to understand needs, preferences, gaps of various target audiences (such as adults with disabilities, caregivers, community members, and enterprise partners), including understanding their demographics and psychographics Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of placemaking initiatives in promoting community engagement and inclusivity Use data insights to inform the design of physical spaces (e.g Social Town) and programming that foster social interaction and a sense of belonging Develop user-centered design frameworks to ensure placemaking projects are accessible and inclusive for all Design methods and create tools (e.g. surveys, focus groups, and interviews) to gather feedback on placemaking efforts from stakeholders and participants. Produce regular reports with visual analytics to showcase the impact of placemaking initiatives and the use of the physical spaces (e.g. Social Town), including developing relevant playbooks Partnerships and Engagement Build and nurture partnerships with stakeholders to align objectives and sustain placemaking projects Identify, build, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, enterprises, and befrienders Serve as the primary liaison between RC and external partners to ensure alignment with shared objectives Organise and facilitate workshops, focus groups, and events to engage the community in co-creating placemaking initiatives Collaborate with ACE teams to raise awareness of placemaking activities and inclusive physical spaces (e.g. Social Town) through campaigns and outreach efforts Develop strategies to secure funding from external partners Foster a culture of collaboration by encouraging cross-sector partnerships (e.g. healthcare) to sustain placemaking projects Project Management Plan and manage placemaking initiatives, ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and quality outcomes Plan, coordinate, and execute placemaking initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and milestones are met Manage project budgets, ensuring effective allocation and utilisation of resources Oversee the day-to-day operations of placemaking projects, addressing issues promptly to maintain quality and progress Identify risks and barriers to the success of the projects and proactively put in place risk mitigation measures Develop and document policies and processes for placemaking activities and the use of inclusive physical spaces (e.g. Social Town) Monitor and evaluate project outcomes against predefined goals, using both qualitative and quantitative measures Create detailed project updates and recommendations Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and organisational policies during project implementation Job Holder Requirements Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in any disciple Minimum 4 years of experience in experience design, spatial design, and/or social research Expertise in applying analytical methods, frameworks and tools to complex business challenges Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with Unit and/or Department Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders Knowledge and Skills Agility: Able to work in a fast-paced environment and has high change agility to adapt to versatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) situations Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in engaging stakeholders across various levels, including leadership and management levels. Possess relationship building skills to collaborate with other units or departments Data-oriented: Able to work with qualitative and quantitative data sets comfortably and independently Systems Thinking: Able to appreciate and examine linkages and interactions between the components of the entire system (i.e. entire organisation, such as but not limited to people, policies, processes, and practices) Analytical Ability, Problem Solving & Strategic Thinking: Ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately, and to think strategically, and make sustainable recommendations Reporting: Ability to draft reports at a professional level, undertake research and synthesise information to prepare written advice and produce high level correspondence.
