Our team of social workers uncovers and enables the strengths of persons with disabilities and their families through person centred planning and supports them in pursuit of their Good Life- where they are safe, healthy, engaged, connected, independent, included and heard.

Bringing to each case an understanding of the biopsychosocial concerns of families and the influences of family, community and cultural differences, the Social Worker is responsible for providing high quality and effective case management. The Social Worker acts as a liaison between the client, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care and support services and advocates on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the necessary assistance to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

The social worker in our early intervention and special schools brings to the educational process an understanding of the psychosocial concerns of families and the influences of family, community and cultural differences as they interact with the educational process.

The social worker will conduct assessments of client needs, provide counselling, support and crisis intervention and participate in programme and policy development.

The social worker works closely with families, social and community agencies and volunteers to strengthen the circles of care around our clients with disabilities.

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Social Work from a recognized university
  • Accredited Social Worker, or eligible for professional registration with the SASW
  • Experience working in a similar setting or with special needs client will be an advantage

As part of the Interdisciplinary Care Planning (ICP) team in DCMP, the Life Coach will work collaboratively with clients, their families, and other professionals to implement care plans, coordinate care arrangements, and report progress to the ICP team. The goal of the role is to empower clients, enhance their independence, and support their integration into inclusive communities.

Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Facilities Management

The Facilities Management team is responsible for ensuring that our buildings and facilities support the empowerment and inclusion of our users. To this end, the team ensures that our building and facilities are accessible, safe and in working order, while also ensuring that the needs of our occupants are met. The Senior Executive (Facilities Management) will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of the RC’s estate and facilities, through regular building and M&E inspections, compliance to authorities’ requirements and management of service subcontractors to effectively achieve the highest standard. The postholder will also ensure that all facilities maintenance issues and emergencies are attended to promptly and rectified with minimal inconvenience and disruption. The postholder will work closely with vendors/contractors such as security force, cafeteria and transport services.
