The Good Life Internship Programme is a 12-week programme which aims to expose interns to the ecosystem surrounding children with disabilities at Rainbow Centre. Running from 13 January to 11 April 2025!
The internship aims to introduce you to special education, intervention, social services and deepen your understanding of the disability sector.
The student intern will work under the guidance of a mentor to support the learning activities of students and improve learner’s engagement. The intern may be placed across different programmes and services across Rainbow Centre.
Job responsibilities
- Engage students and promote their interest in varied activities.
- Work closely with teachers to manage student behaviours and improve their engagement in activities.
- Monitoring, observing and recording student’s behaviours and progress to provide data for care and learning outcomes.
- Assist with health, medical, safety and hygiene needs of students.
- Develop teaching and learning resources to enhance the students' engagement and learning.
- Assist with upkeeping of classroom and equipment
- Participate in Good Life Befrienders & Post-18 programmes, through planning and conducting inclusive activities
