Life Coach [for Day Activity Centre for Adults with Disabilities]
At Rainbow Centre, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to live a good life. We work alongside persons with disabilities, families, and communities to build skills, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
Our Adult Empowerment Services is looking for a Life Coach to join our Day Activity Centre team, supporting adults with disabilities through person-centred activities, coaching, and community engagement.
About the Role
As a Life Coach, you will work proactively with adults with disabilities to translate person-centred plans into meaningful daily experiences. Through purposeful activities and consistent coaching, you will support individuals to develop skills for daily living, social participation, and community inclusion—guided by each person’s strengths, preferences, and Good Life goals.
You will work collaboratively with families, peers, colleagues, and community partners to create supportive environments where individuals can grow, make choices, and participate more fully in life.
What You Will Do
-
Coach adults with disabilities through structured activities that build daily living, social, communication, vocational, and community participation skills
-
Design and deliver meaningful, engaging activities that support independence, wellbeing, and confidence
-
Apply person-centred thinking to understand each individual within their family, social, and community context
-
Work collaboratively with families, peers, and support networks to reinforce learning across environments
-
Support community participation and real-life skill application
-
Use digital systems to document progress, track outcomes, and support programme reviews
-
Uphold safety, safeguarding, and professional standards in all aspects of practice
Who We Are Looking For
-
A recognised relevant Diploma (Certificate in Autism and/or Diploma in Special Education is an advantage)
-
At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities requiring moderate levels of support
-
A warm, patient, and respectful practitioner who believes in strengths-based, person-centred support
-
Comfortable working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams
-
Willingness to learn, reflect, and grow professionally
-
Alignment with Rainbow Centre’s values of compassion, respect, integrity, excellence, and teamwork
