    Our Rainbow Centre Special Education Programme caters to students with multiple disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, aged from 7 to 18 years. With RC, you can expect a rewarding career in Special Education, making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities. 

    Critical Work Functions

    Provide first aid or refer to emergency care

    1. Ensure that all medical supplies and equipment needed for first aid and emergency care are available and in working condition in the School Clinic (as per the standard requirement)

    2. Assess needs of the student/staff and administer the first aid care appropriate to the student/staff's condition or needs

    3. Transfer student to the Accident/Emergency of the nearest hospital as per the standard procedure.

    Implement student  health screening and education programmes

    1. Coordinate and/or conduct health screening of our students, including liaising with the School Health Unit, IOH, and volunteer doctors, planning and scheduling, submission of documents and follow-up on review cases. 

    2. Work with Teachers to monitor students who are frequently absent from School due to health-related problems

    Administrative Duties

    1. Maintain and update student  medical list, individual health plans & immunization records in the Student Management System 

    2. Report major injuries in Accident & Illness records

    3. Carry out necessary inspection of the equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the sick bay and dental clinic, and upkeeping the supplies whenever necessary

    Candidate Requirements

    • A Nursing Diploma (for Registered Nurses) or Nitec in Nursing (for Enrolled Nurses)  

    • Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board

    • Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training

    • At least 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in a related field

    • Knowledge of both clinical skills and Singapore Health Policy

    • Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suite (Google Workspace)

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
