Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Partnership Development
- Identify and Cultivate Partnerships: Research and identify potential partners (e.g., NGOs, businesses, community organisations) that align with RC’s mission and goals
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners to foster collaboration and support for advocacy initiatives
- Collaborative Projects: Design and implement joint projects and initiatives with partners that promote inclusivity and empower individuals with disabilities
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular communication and engagement with partners, ensuring alignment on goals and shared outcomes
- Impact Assessment: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership initiatives, gathering feedback to enhance future collaborations
Community Engagement and Activation
- Community Outreach: Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage diverse communities, raising awareness of RC’s mission and programmes
- Event Coordination: Plan and manage community events, workshops, and campaigns that promote inclusivity and build community capacity
- Volunteer Engagement: Recruit, train, and support volunteers to participate in community initiatives and advocacy efforts, fostering a sense of ownership and involvement
- Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for community feedback to understand needs and priorities, using insights to inform program development
- Inclusive Practices Promotion: Advocate for inclusive practices within the community by sharing resources and best practices with stakeholders
Programme Development and Management
- Fundraising Plan Execution: Support execution of RC’s annual fundraising plan
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all submissions, grant-funded projects and donors in relevant databases and filing systems
- Donor & Grant Research: Conduct research, prospecting, applying to multiple donor sources and relevant grants, and delivering quality impact and donor reports
Job Holder Requirements
- A good degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences or in a related field
- Community Programmes Management: Prior hands-on experience in the planning, development, implementation, and reporting of innovative community engagement programmes, inclusion work, or ground-up initiatives is an advantage
