Rainbow Centre is looking for an Assistant Director, Therapy Services to lead a team of dedicated therapists to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities through the delivery of quality therapy that support and empower these individuals, their family members and the communities around them so that they can achieve their highest level of independence and lead thriving lives.

The postholder plays a key role in directing the operations, programs and activities of therapists, having oversight of the services and leading the team to identify trends and design so as to implement innovative programmes to address service gaps. The post holder will also act as a representative of the agency to engage and address queries from external stakeholders.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and outlining mid- to long-term operational directions that support the overall strategy of Rainbow Centre. 
  • Leading in regular review of strategies, including operational and tactical strategies, to ensure alignment with the overall mission and vision of the agency 
  • Leading the development and implementation of operational strategies to ensure efficient delivery of therapy services, and managing resources to ensure optimal usage.
  • Overseeing the delivery of therapy services and develop strategies to spearhead the development or review of service delivery models, programmes and care protocols to promote better integration of therapy services within Rainbow Centre and/or the sector
  • Building and leveraging on community networks to encourage social service integration.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a recognised Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Allied Health 
  • Possess an Allied Health Professional Registration
  • Demonstrates a high understanding of professional standards and development in the areas of therapy and, in particular, disability issues
  • Typically 12 years post qualification experience working in a setting with a multidisciplinary team with at least 3 years’ experience in staff supervision and management
  • Preferably with management experience in a large social service agency with an emphasis in administering large scale programs, analyzing and recommending solutions in organizations, systems procedures and programs
