The Senior Specialist, Instructional Design and Training, at Rainbow Centre will play a vital role in developing and implementing learning programs and consultancy services focused on disability skills training. This position requires expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery, as well as a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by persons with disabilities. The Senior Specialist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create effective and inclusive training materials and programs that empower individuals with disabilities to thrive in inclusive communities.
Critical Work Functions
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:

Analyze training needs and collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and update instructional materials and curriculum.

Apply best practices in instructional design to create engaging, accessible, and learner-centered training materials.

Incorporate appropriate methodologies, technologies, and interactive elements to enhance learning outcomes
Training Program Development and Delivery

Design and deliver training programs to individuals with disabilities, their families, and professionals in the field.

Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions using effective instructional techniques and strategies.
Design and Development of Learning Interventions

Design in person, virtual and/or blended learning intervention by integrating instructional design and assessment strategies and subject matter expertise.

Review and upkeep curriculum content for training and learning intervention, taking into account the operating contexts, profiles and needs of stakeholders whilst ensuring curriculum content has been researched on and drawing reference to evidence-based or informed practices where applicable.
Consultancy Services:

Provide expert advice and consultation to external organizations, businesses, and government bodies on disability-related training and inclusive practices

Collaborate with clients to assess their training needs, develop customized solutions, and deliver high-quality training programs.
Research and Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and innovations in disability skills training and instructional design.

Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field.
Job Holder Requirements
a. DACE/DDDLP certified
b. At least 5 years of experience in curriculum design and training, preferably in areas associated with Special Education
c. Imparting of subject matter expertise and current industry practices in instructional design and disability to stakeholders in relation to their learning needs
d. Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents
